This is my first webpage flow design and what I want to do is keep it as simple as possible and I’m doing this by limiting how many navigation options there are without grouping too many things together and I like this design quite a lot however I think I might prefer grouping my 2D art and games part of my website as they seamlessly mesh together and present my work as projects
So in this revised design I have broken down my work into units of work so that you can view my programming and 2D digital art as a whole project rather than separate entities because I think this will allow my portfolio to flow better and feel more natural and I have also kept my 3D models page separate as it doesn’t coincide with my games projects but has some work I’m really proud of, I have included a contact me tab as this was a common theme throughout all of the other portfolios I looked at
This is the first design/ theme I designed for my webpage I like the way the orange and white contrast well with the dark grays of the background and I kept the navigation bar in the top right with the options that will auto scroll you down the page to your chosen selection, I used an easy to read Franklin Gothic font style that is quite bold and really stands out from the page whilst still holding a professional look, I like the overall design of this portfolio page however I may revise it with different colour scheme’s
In this design I changed the colour scheme to introduce some more colour to the page so that that you are more drawn to the page and I chose the same colour scheme as I had once used for my exhibition boards last year however I don’t think I like this colour scheme as much as my first design though I changed the layout of the page slightly to include a larger image slide show on the about me/ home page that will include a selection of images of the work I have produced throughout the last year
Portfolio Dev log
Week 1 – This week I have got to work on creating the home page for my portfolio web site and what I have done is create a small block of text that is about me that describes what the site is for and who I am and what I want to do I have chosen a dark theme that uses mostly grays and blacks as I think this is easier to look at and I think it draws you to the white text on the page and the images I have included
Next week I will hopefully get started on adding in my unit 8 work on a separate page. I think this week went very well actually as WIX is very easy to use to create a professional looking portfolio

Week 2 – In week 2 I have successfully added all my unit 8 work in a slideshow of images and have added a link to the code I used to create my game which is uploaded on my GitHub I kept the theme consistent and gave the project a brief description explaining what I had done and that I was proud of the project, I am contemplating adding some of my unit 567 work to this page as well because I had made some assets in that project that I am proud of and I had also done some coding that I ended up improving on and adding into my unit 8 work as I think this shows a good deal of my progression
Next week I want to get my 3D model page up and begin to add all of my 3D models to this page with small descriptions of what was involved in each of there creations

Week 3 – I have begun uploading images of my 3D models to my portfolio this week and I have decided that I will have an introductory paragraph at the top of the page explaining that my specialism is programming but that these models are something I have created in class and in my own time as its another part of games development that I really enjoy but feel its not my strongest part, The colour scheme is kept consistent throughout and I have included a link to my sketchfab at the bottom of the page which allows you to better see each model I struggled with getting a format that I liked and thought that represented my models well but other than that this week went very well
Next week I am hoping to finish my unit 12 work and start uploading that to my website as so far everything has gone very smooth
