In this board they displayed a lot of the art work from the game on the boards and I think this is a good thing to do if the art work is one of the strengths of the game as is true with this one and in my game I’m very happy with the character and enemy designs that I have created so I might use the art work I created for these as some of the boards for my game here they have been displayed on boards together but as my work is pixel art I could scale the character and enemy up and have them as separate cutouts which I think would work well also on these boards they have displayed what software they have used to create their work but have kept it as a small icon towards the bottom of the board as to not distract from what the board is actually about so I will do something similar for my boards as it helps show what programs you’re proficient with

In this board they have shown two screenshots from parts in there game and I think this is a good idea for helping capture what your games about and what people could expect from playing your game it’s also another good way of showing off the artwork and level design of the game which can also help tell people what sort of tone you are going for with your game so I think I will include at least one screenshot of my game as a board for my game but I will have it displayed on a board with a boarder where I could include the programs I used to create the game the only thing I don’t like about these boards is they don’t show what programs they used to create their work

I really like how these boards have been presented as they show a screenshot from the game which I can instantly identify what the game is about but also shows of some of the nice artwork present in the game which as I discussed before is something I want to include and another thing I really like is the way the control scheme of the game has been presented as its clear and concise to a point where anyone could understand how to play the game so this is definitely a board I will include for my game as I think its a good board choice for a programmer as it shows some of the mechanics you have in your game I think the objective of the game works on this board but its not something I personally think is necessary to have on the board

This board is an example I found online and it includes a brief description of the game and what systems it will run on and is then accompanied by a selection of screenshots of the game as well as a video, I cant really apply what was done here to present this game to my own as I cant include a video however I can see what sorts of screenshots of their game they did include and then the game screenshot I use around that, I like the idea of having a short video intro for the game to setup your presentation as it acts similar to a screenshot except you have the ability for the view to see a short clip of the game in action. I didn’t like that there was no inclusion specifically of the art work that had been created in the game as I do think this is a valuable asset to show off about your game

This is a selection of exhibitions that aren’t for games but the same formulas can be applied as they all include a large logo or title of some kind to do with the company and this would be the title of my game that I will include in large text at the top of all my boards and then after that there is a plethora of items that they have created and this would be replaced by the art work I have made for my game as well as the screenshots of my game that I plan to include, I like how exhibitions appear to be universal across all platforms in how they are presented its just the product that changes and what this tells me is there is clearly a working method of presenting what you have created that works for everything so I will try and employ as many of the techniques as it appropriate for the boards about my game

This presentation has three boards and the first of these is a title card for the game and I think this is quite an important board to have as it makes your game instantly recognisable so I think I will include a board that has a title for my game and maybe a logo as this will make my boards stand out from the others. Another thing this presentation does well is have a clear set of controls displayed on a board which will be really helpful for anyone coming to play the game at the exhibition as it will make it really easy for them to understand the control scheme and howto play the game.

This is my own board from last year and I think I done a really good job in displaying what my game is and how to play it. For example one of my boards was a gameplay screen shot from a part of my game that included the stone wall pixel art in the background and this was important as not only did the picture on the board represent the game but I also used the asset in the background on my other two boards which kept a consistency about my boards making them more appealing. I also included a control scheme that included the same font that I used within my game yet again keeping everything linked together. I think something I could’ve done better and have since learned from this experience was to create a title board that is more identifiable as it will allow my game to be more easily recognised.
